Chaos Magick

In most regards, Chaos, when used under the term of Magick, is possibly the most dangerous of the schools of arcane study. Many do not even consider it to be a school due to its unpredictable nature and unbelievable difficulty in utilizing properly.
At the center of all magickal principle, Chaos is the center point of all things within the material planes of existence, as well as the center to the Wheel of Enlightenment. This is due to Chaos being the very source of the power magicians use in order to alter the laws of reality. Why this is possible is unknown. Mostly due of the very nature of Chaos however, it is considered that it is because it can.
The reason for the study of Chaos is that it may be the very element that gives the Magus, magicians born with the innate ability to cast sorcery without preparation or study, their very ability and unlimited source of power. It is also believed that within Chaos lies the clue to bringing about ultimate creation, that from it Godhood can be achieved, even destroyed.
But even with this in mind, the theory cannot be tested due to the more then often lethal side affects of attempting to formulate incantations capable of binding pure Chaos energy into any one spell or area for a longer period of time than that of 1.92 seconds. And even with this, it cannot be used as an after effect weapon as Chaos vanishes to wherever it originates after being brought to pinpointed location.
Chaos Magi are all but nonexistent, theories about such beings often end with the thought of the subject going insane to the point of a permanent coma, painfully combusting into any number of magickal energies, or simply imploding out of the cosmos and into the void of The Never There.
In the written history of Vilbanastian science and studies, only 2 artifacts have ever been made that were arguably decided to be under the school of Chaos's domain: The Tarot Card Depicting "The World" created by the legendary Helshamon witch, Sektia, and "The Living Ring" of Eris, a malevolent goddess who's domain is Discord.
Practice of Chaos magick was considered as an illegal activity, but due to inability to be fully utilized, it's severity and seriousness in study has dramatically declined. However, many scholars hold a suggested counter to this difficulty in the form of Divine worship towards gods of Chaos and similar domains. This however is not considered "true" Chaos magick, but rather Thaumaturgy imitating the school's power to a lesser degree.
